MEET NEW FRIENDS

The DFW area has a meet nearly every week of the month. Regularly scheduled outings include cook outs at local parks, playing games at an arcade, and trips to a bowling alley. Special meets are also scheduled on a regular basis including trips to the local zoos, skating rinks, and movie nights.

A simple bear that does bear things, Bales, is a conservationist, wildlife educator, community organizer and TFF staffer. Spending more time in nature than inside a cave he is always trying to improve the prairies and woodlands around Weatherford and DFW. An avid volunteer with both wildlife rehabilitators and local scientific societies he splits his time educating with building the yearly themes for TFF.

Dr. Wildlife
​
Dr. Wildlife, often referred to simply as "Doc", is a conservation biologist who has been living in the Dallas area since 2014. Despite being relatively new to the fandom, she founded and continues to organize the monthly furcade meet. Doc is also an avid volunteer with local children and animal-focused charities around the world. Her love of animals is only surpassed by her dedication to the local fur community.
